Octopusby the Bees
Yes its retro music, produced by teenagers who's parents weren't even alive for round 1. It is also quite brilliant, a refreshing, powerful take on classic rock. In the US they are called the Band of Bees. Apparantly there were already Bees in the continental US.

Jeremy Osborn recommended that I read this many moons ago. It is the "tome" for all things gridular and graphicular. Not exactly a light evening read, but loaded with plenty of useful information. No better book on the subject. Thankfully now in English.
